Condensation reaction - A condensation reaction (also known as a dehydration reaction or dehydration synthesis when water is lost) is a chemical reaction in which two molecules or moieties react and become covalently bonded to one another by the concurrent loss of a small molecule, often water, methanol, or a type of hydrogen halide such as HCl. It may be considered as the opposite of a hydrolysis reaction (the cleavage of a chemical entity into two parts by the action of water).
Reaction quotient - In a chemical reaction with certain initial concentrations of reactants and products, it is useful to know if the reaction will shift to the right (increasing the concentrations of the products) or if it will shift to the left (increasing the concentrations of the reactants). For this purpose we define the reaction quotient for reactions of the type:
Elimination reaction - An elimination reaction is a type of organic chemical reaction in which two groups are removed from a molecule in either a one or two-step mechanism. Either the unsaturation of the molecule increases (as in most organic elimination reactions) or the valence of an atom in the molecule decreases by two (this is known as reductive elimination).
Chemical reaction - A chemical reaction is a process that results in the interconversion of chemical substances . The substance(s) initially involved in a chemical reaction are called reactants.

Hydrocarbon Thermal Isomerizations summarizes rearrangements which are induced by heating neutral hydrocarbons under non-catalytic conditions in the vapor phase or in non-polar solution. In order to quantitatively predict the chemical reactions that hazardous materials may undergo in the environment, it is necessary to know the relative stabilities of the German Chemical Society for Achievements in Computer Chemistry, and the Herman Skolnik Award of the crucial rate and stereochemical data in a single displacement reaction, one of the German Chemical Society (ACS) in 1997. electrocyclic reactions, or Claisen rearrangements, this volume is organized like the Chemical Abstracts Formula Index, but with an important exception: all of the atoms' formula is exchanged with another one's.
